Two-story ICF exterior with walls up, porch framing set and roof decking in place on a wooded site

Where we build

North Texas and southern Oklahoma, both sides of the Red River.

We keep our radius sensible for one reason: co-founder Duane Holloway is on every jobsite in person. From our Wichita Falls office that reaches deep into North Texas and straight up into southern Oklahoma.

Region one — North Texas

The Texas towns we know how to build in

Permitting, inspectors, soil, wind exposure and utility quirks are different in every one of these places. Knowing that is a meaningful part of the job.

Wichita Falls

Custom home building in Wichita Falls, TX

Visten Construction Group is based in Wichita Falls and builds custom homes throughout the city, from established neighborhoods near Midwestern Parkway to new acreage lots on the south and west edges of town. We know the city’s permitting office, the local inspectors, and which lots need engineered pads because of the clay. Wichita Falls sits squarely in tornado alley, which is exactly why ICF is the wall system we lead with here.

Iowa Park

Custom home building in Iowa Park, TX

Iowa Park is a short drive from our Wichita Falls office, which means Duane can be on an Iowa Park jobsite almost daily. We build here on in-town lots and on family land out toward Valley View, and the open ground west of town is a strong argument for a concrete wall assembly rather than a framed one.

Burkburnett

Custom home building in Burkburnett, TX

Burkburnett sits close to the Red River and to Sheppard Air Force Base, and we handle its city permitting as part of the build. We build both traditional custom homes and full ICF envelopes here. The wind exposure coming off the open ground north of town makes a reinforced concrete wall system a very easy recommendation.

Archer City

Custom home building in Archer City, TX

Archer City and the surrounding Archer County acreage is where the most rural work happens — water wells, aerobic septic systems, caliche drives and long utility runs, all coordinated by us rather than handed to you as a list of phone numbers. If you own county land and are not sure it is buildable, that conversation is worth having before you buy.

Henrietta

Custom home building in Henrietta, TX

We build in Henrietta and across Clay County for people who want distance from town without giving up build quality. The near-silent interior of an ICF house is usually the thing people notice first when they stand inside one. County permitting and inspection coordination is handled entirely by us.

Electra

Custom home building in Electra, TX

Electra sits in genuinely open country, and the wind out here is not a rumor — it is a design input. We build ICF homes in and around Electra specifically because a reinforced concrete wall does not care about a 70 mph gust the way a stick-framed wall does. We’ll walk your property and talk through orientation, drainage and utility access before anything gets drawn.

Wichita County

Custom home building in Wichita County, TX

Beyond the incorporated cities, we build throughout unincorporated Wichita County. That means county-level permitting, floodplain checks, private utility coordination and access roads — all of which we handle as part of the build. If you own county land and aren’t sure it’s buildable, that’s a conversation worth having before you buy.

North Texas

Custom home building in North Texas region

We generally build within about a 60-mile radius of Wichita Falls, which takes in Holliday, Wichita Valley, Petrolia, Byers, Windthorst, Scotland, Bowie and the surrounding North Texas communities. The radius exists for one reason: Duane is on every jobsite in person, and a builder who is not standing in your house is not really building it.

Region two — Southern Oklahoma

We build across southern Oklahoma too

Visten Construction Group crosses the Red River for ICF and custom home work in southern Oklahoma, and an Oklahoma build is not a different kind of job for us. The same cost-plus pricing applies — documented build cost plus one agreed builder fee, with every invoice and receipt visible to you — and so does the same eight-step process, from the first discovery conversation through to handoff and ongoing support after move-in.

We build custom homes throughout southern Oklahoma — both full ICF envelopes and traditional stick-framed homes — for families in Lawton, Duncan, Ardmore and the towns in between. Being based in Wichita Falls is what makes that practical: the Red River communities are close by, reachable up Highway 281 and Interstate 44. Duane still walks every site in person, and we handle Oklahoma city and county permitting, inspections and utility coordination as part of the build.

ICF construction is especially well suited to Oklahoma. This is some of the most tornado-exposed ground in the country, and a wall of steel-reinforced concrete wrapped in foam behaves nothing like a stick-framed wall when severe weather arrives — properly engineered ICF is tested against sustained winds over 200 mph and the debris impacts that destroy conventional framing. We pour continuous walls from footing to roofline, with roof framing anchored into connections cast into the concrete, so the house has one unbroken load path instead of a safe room bolted into a vulnerable structure.

Lawton

Custom home building in Lawton, OK

Lawton and the surrounding Comanche County acreage sit just up Highway 281 from our office, and our crew works there as readily as it does in Archer City. We build both traditional custom homes and full ICF envelopes here. Open ground and a long tornado history make a steel-reinforced concrete wall an easy conversation in Lawton.

Duncan

Custom home building in Duncan, OK

Duncan, Marlow, Comanche and the rest of Stephens County are well inside our working radius, and we build there on both city lots and family land. Rural sites get the same full site package we run in Texas — water well coordination, aerobic septic, drives and utility runs — handled by us rather than handed to you as a list of phone numbers.

Ardmore

Custom home building in Ardmore, OK

Ardmore, Healdton, Wilson and Madill are the eastern edge of where we build, and the work out here is usually acreage homes for families who have already lived through one bad spring. Continuous ICF walls from footing to roofline, with roof framing anchored into connections cast in the concrete, is the specific reason people call about it.

Southern Oklahoma

Custom home building in Southern Oklahoma region

Being based in Wichita Falls puts the whole southern tier of Oklahoma within easy reach, so Waurika, Walters, Temple, Ryan, Elgin, Cache, Fletcher, Sterling, Rush Springs, Chickasha and Ada all fall inside the area we serve. We handle Oklahoma county and city permitting, inspections and utility coordination as part of the build, and Duane is on these jobsites in person the same way he is in Texas.

Own land in Oklahoma and not sure it is buildable? Call before you close on it. We will walk the property and tell you what it costs to make it ready.

Not sure whether you are in our area?

Our office sits at 401 Hwy 281 STE 101, Wichita Falls, TX 76310. South of the river that takes in Wichita, Archer and Clay counties, plus Holliday, Wichita Valley, Petrolia, Byers, Windthorst, Scotland and Bowie. North of it, we build across Comanche, Stephens, Jefferson, Cotton, Carter and Grady counties in southern Oklahoma.

If you own land just outside that area, call anyway. For the right project we will stretch, and if we genuinely are not the right builder for your location we will tell you straight and point you at someone who is.

And if you have not bought the land yet: talk to us first. The cheapest hour you will ever spend on a build is the one where Duane walks a property with you and tells you what it costs to make it buildable.

What we handle on rural land

  • Water well drilling coordination and testing
  • Aerobic septic design, permitting and installation
  • Caliche or concrete drives and access roads
  • Long electrical service runs and utility coordination
  • County permitting, floodplain checks and inspections
  • Site clearing, grading, drainage and engineered pads

All of it is coordinated by us as part of the build — not handed to you as a list of phone numbers.

Local builders

We build where we live.

Wichita Falls, Iowa Park, Burkburnett, Archer City, Henrietta and Electra in Texas; Lawton, Duncan, Ardmore and the Red River towns in Oklahoma. Tell us where your land is and we will tell you what building there looks like.

We respond within one business day.
